MP Dental Associates was established by Dr. Cesar Montalvan and his wife, Dr. Marjan Partovi, to serve the dental needs of the suburban community of Northern Virginia. Dr. Marjan Partovi
Marjan Partovi has been living in the Washington , DC area since 1991. She hails from a family of dentists.
Upon her arrival to the area she attended college at the University of Maryland where she graduated magna cum laude. She then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. She stayed in school an additional year to complete a rigorous one-year residency program in Advanced General Dentistry where she gain valuable experience in treating patients in a comprehensive way. Dr. Partovi has been in private practice since graduating from dental school in 2000.
She has a keen interest in periodontics (gum disease treatment), esthetics, and endodontics (root canal treatment) through her strong commitment to continuing education. But what really makes Dr. Partovi unique is her warm, caring and friendly chair side manner.
Dr. Partovi is a licensed dentist in both the states of Virginia and Maryland and is recognized for her accomplishments by the North East Regional Boards (NERBS) and Southern Regional Testing Agency (SRTA).
Dr. Cesar Montalvan
Dr. Cesar Montalvan graduated from UPCH in 1995. Originally from Peru, he moved to the DC area in 2000 to attend the University of Maryland Dental School. There he completed a rigorous two-year postdoctoral residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry and was selected as Chief Resident. In 2002 he started working as an associate in Centreville, Virginia until 2005 when he decided to start his own practice.
Dr. Montalvan is passionate about using the latest technology to improve the comfort and quality of dentistry for his patients and their families. His passion for learning has never subsided and he is constantly attending continuing education seminars across the US and abroad to increase his knowledge. In 2007 Dr. Montalvan took and passed the rigorous Academy Of General Dentistry exam, earning the certificate of Fellowship of the Academy of General Dentistry.
He and his wife, Marjan work together, and have been married for fourteen years. They have twin boys, Ian and Enzo. As a family, they enjoy watching Washington Redskins games, hiking in national parks and playing sports.
Dr. Montalvan is fluent is English and Spanish.
Zahira
Dental Assistant
Zahira is originally from Afghanistan, she graduated from Everest College in 2014 as a dental assistant and has been in the dental field since then and really enjoys working as a dental assistant. Zahira is very passionate about providing you with the right dental care and explaining your dental treatment. In her free time she loves to spend time with her husband and her four wonderful children. She also enjoys going on picnics and hanging out with friends and family.
Alexa
Dental Assistant
Alexa was born and raised in Manassas, Virginia. She has been in the dental field for over a year now. One of her passions is to inform patients of their oral health and dental wellbeing. She comes from a family of dental assistants following in her older sisters footsteps by becoming a dental assistant herself. Alexa has a son, Sebastian and three dogs. in her spare time Alexa likes to cook authentic Mexican food. She also visits her family and friends in Mexico. Alexa continues her education by attending college.
